About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Execution Engineer to take ownership of mechanical project execution at a chemical plant site.
The role involves hands-on execution and supervision of mechanical equipment installation, piping, fabrication & erection, testing and commissioning, along with contractor/vendor coordination, safety, quality, and project progress monitoring.
The ideal candidate should be solid in site execution and contractor management and capable of independently handling mechanical activities in brownfield and/or greenfield projects.
Key Responsibilities
Ø Mechanical Project Execution
- Execute and supervise mechanical works as per approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and procedures.
- Monitor day-to-day site progress and ensure timely completion of activities.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Contractors and Vendors.
- Identify and resolve technical/site execution issues and minimize project delays.
Ø Equipment Installation & Commissioning
Hands-on experience in installation, alignment, testing and commissioning of:
- Static Equipment: Tanks, Vessels, Columns, Heat Exchangers
- Rotary Equipment: Pumps, Compressors, Blowers
- Mechanical packages and associated systems
Ø Piping, Fabrication & Erection
- Supervise CS,
SS and Alloy Piping installation and piping supports.
- Manage mechanical fabrication, erection and welding activities.
- Ensure execution is in accordance with approved drawings and quality requirements.
- Ensure availability of required materials, manpower, tools and equipment at site.
Ø Safety & Quality
- Ensure strict compliance with chemical plant safety standards and site procedures.
- Coordinate for Work Permits, JSA, Toolbox Talks and safe work practices.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements.
- Ensure proper inspection, testing and documentation of completed work.
Ø Contractor & Vendor Management
- Monitor contractor manpower, productivity, work quality and progress.
- Provide technical guidance to contractors and execution teams.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment installation and technical issues.
- Follow up on material availability and resolve site constraints.
Ø Progress Monitoring & Documentation
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and project updates.
- Track execution against project schedules and highlight critical delays/risks.
- Maintain inspection reports, as-built drawings, equipment history and commissioning records.
- Prepare project presentations and reports for management review.
Candidate Requirements
Must Have:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in mechanical execution.
- Strong experience in chemical/process plant projects.
- Hands-on experience in brownfield and/or greenfield project execution.
- Robust exposure to mechanical equipment, piping, fabrication and erection.
- Experience in contractor and vendor management.
- Good understanding of safety and QA/QC practices.

What We Are Looking For
A hands-on, execution-focused Mechanical Engineer who can take ownership of site activities, effectively manage contractors, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, resolve technical challenges, and deliver mechanical project activities safely, within quality standards and as per project timelines.
Employment Note: This position is on Third-Party Payroll.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Jhagadia, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
