Job summary-

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer with 8+ years of experience to join our team for a legacy ERP modernization project. You will be a key player in maintaining and upgrading a system from legacy .NET Framework, revamping third-party integrations, and ensuring a smooth transition. This is a great opportunity for a proactive and self-driven developer who is ready to tackle a complex, impactful project.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the ERP system modernization. This includes:

- Codebase and Framework Upgrade: Analyzing, refactoring, and upgrading the existing codebase from .NET Framework 4.0 to 4.8.1.

- Third-Party Integration: Upgrading and refactoring integrations with third-party components like DevExpress, iTextSharp, and Crystal Reports.

- Development & Deployment: Implementing modern logging frameworks, performing rigorous testing, and managing the deployment process on IIS.

- Collaboration: Working independently while collaborating with the team to identify risks and create a solid modernization plan.

Skills Required





Technical Skills

- Languages & Frameworks: Robust proficiency in VB.NET and ASP.NET Web Forms (ASPX, ASHX).

- Upgrade Experience: Proven experience with .NET Framework upgrades, specifically from older versions

- Database: Hands-on experience with SQL Server, including writing and optimizing stored procedures.

- Tools & Libraries: Familiarity with DevExpress, iTextSharp, and Crystal Reports or similar components or libraries. Experience with logging frameworks such as log4net, Serilog, or NLog is a plus.

- DevOps & Deployment: Proficiency with Git for version control and experience deploying applications on IIS.

Functional & Soft Skills

- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex codebases, identify upgrade risks, and develop effective solutions.

- Domain Knowledge (Preferred): Experience in the ERP Platform is preferred, and the Manufacturing domain is a plus.

- Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the team.

- Self-Management: Highly independent and self-driven, capable of managing tasks and meeting project timelines with minimal supervision.
