Job Title: Senior Mainframe CICS Administrator

Experience: 8–10 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe CICS Administrator with strong hands-on experience in CICS installation, migration, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and upgrades. The candidate should have good knowledge of z/OS, SMP/E, Disaster Recovery, CICS monitoring tools, and ACF2 security.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, migrate, maintain, and upgrade CICS and related products.
- Set up and maintain CICS regions.
- Perform CICS problem determination and performance tuning.
- Handle IBM program product installation using SMP/E.
- Install, upgrade, and support ISV products from vendors such as IBM, CA, Mackinney, and Macro 4.
- Perform CICS upgrades and migrations.
- Monitor CICS environments using tools such as:
- CA SYSVIEW for CICS
- OMEGAMON for CICS
- TMON for CICS
- Troubleshoot CICS and z/OS-related issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Work with IBM support to resolve complex technical issues.
- Support Disaster Recovery planning, procedures, and DR testing.




- Work with z/OS functions including APF, LINKLIST, LPA, and VSAM.
- Support and troubleshoot ACF2 security-related requirements.

Required Skills

- 8–10 years of experience in Mainframe CICS Administration.
- Strong hands-on experience in CICS installation, maintenance, migration, and upgrades.
- Good knowledge of SMP/E.
- Robust CICS troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
- Experience setting up and managing CICS regions.
- Good knowledge of z/OS.
- Experience with CICS monitoring tools such as CA SYSVIEW, OMEGAMON, or TMON.
- Good understanding of VSAM, APF, LINKLIST, and LPA.
- Experience with Disaster Recovery and DR testing.
- Knowledge of ACF2 Security.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have

- Experience working with IBM and third-party/ISV mainframe products.
- Experience interacting with IBM technical support.
- Exposure to large and complex enterprise CICS environments.
