Manager – US/Canadian Payroll & Accounting

Location: Industrial Area, Phase 8B, Mohali
Working Days: 5 Days a Week
Shift: 4:30 PM – 1:30 AM

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Manager – US/Canadian Payroll & Accounting to manage a team of 6 Payroll Accountants and oversee payroll operations for US or Canadian clients.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in US or Canadian Payroll along with proven experience in team leadership and people management.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and lead a team of 6 Payroll Accountants.
- Oversee end-to-end US or Canadian payroll processing.
- Review payroll processing, reports, reconciliations and ensure accuracy and timely completion.
- Ensure compliance with applicable payroll regulations and statutory requirements.
- Monitor team performance, allocate workloads and ensure timely deliverables.
- Handle payroll-related issues, escalations and resolve client queries effectively.
- Coordinate with accounting and other internal teams to ensure smooth payroll operations.




- Support client onboarding and payroll implementation activities.
- Identify process gaps and drive continuous process improvements.
- Provide guidance, coaching and performance feedback to team members.

Requirements

- Prior hands-on experience in US Payroll or Canadian Payroll.
- Proven experience in leading/managing a payroll team.
- Experience managing a team of approximately 6 members is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll operations, reconciliations and compliance.
- Experience with payroll and accounting systems.
- Solid communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines, team performance and client escalations.

Mandatory Fit

- US or Canadian Payroll experience
- Prior team leadership/management experience
- Strong payroll operations and compliance knowledge
- Comfortable managing a team of 6 Payroll Accountants
- Willing to work 5 days from Industrial Area, Phase 8B, Mohali
- Comfortable with the 4:30 PM – 1:30 AM shift
