Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Hand Carpenter to manufacture and assemble

wooden furniture. The ideal candidate should have expertise in manual woodworking and

be capable of independently making furniture frames and structures such as beds, sofas,

wardrobes, tables, and other customized furniture as per drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

 Fabricate and assemble wooden furniture including beds, sofa frames, wardrobes,

cabinets, tables, TV units, and other customized products.

 Read and interpret technical drawings, sketches, and dimensions.

 Measure, cut, shape, and join wood and other materials using hand and power tools.

 Construct strong and accurate furniture frames ensuring structural integrity.

 Perform manual finishing work including fitting, alignment, sanding, and adjustments.

 Install hardware such as hinges, channels, locks, handles, and other fittings.

 Repair or modify furniture whenever required.

 Ensure high standards of craftsmanship, quality, and finish.

 Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

 Follow workplace safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the work area.





 Coordinate with supervisors and production teams to ensure timely completion of

assigned work.

Required Skills

 Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and furniture construction.

 Experience in making bed frames, sofa frames, wardrobes, cabinets, and other wooden

furniture.

 Ability to operate hand tools and woodworking machinery safely.

 Good understanding of measurements and technical drawings.

 Attention to detail with excellent finishing skills.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Physically fit to handle woodworking tasks.

Qualification

 ITI in Carpentry or equivalent vocational training is preferred. Candidates with relevant hands-on experience may also apply.

Experience

 Minimum 2 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or modular/custom

furniture production.

Preferred Candidate Profile

 Experience in custom furniture manufacturing.

 Ability to complete work with minimal supervision.
