Our Indore warehouse is a critical hub for the distribution of goods across the region, and we rely on a dedicated team to keep the flow of packages smooth and efficient. As a Sorter, you will be at the heart of this operation, handling a steady stream of items that arrive from multiple suppliers and preparing them for timely delivery to customers. The role demands a blend of physical endurance, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic, shift‑based work environment.

Each day begins with a briefing where supervisors outline the volume of incoming shipments and any special handling instructions. You will then move to the sorting floor, where packages are organized by size, weight, and destination. Accurate segregation is essential; misplaced items can cause delays, increase costs, and affect customer satisfaction. You will use visual cues, barcode labels, and, when available, handheld scanners to ensure each parcel is placed in the correct lane.

Beyond sorting, you will play a vital role in quality control. While handling each package, you must inspect it for visible damage, tears, or incorrect labeling. Any compromised items should be flagged immediately and set aside for further assessment. This proactive approach helps prevent damaged goods from reaching customers and reduces the need for costly returns.

Loading and unloading are also part of your daily duties. You will assist forklift operators and loading crew members in transferring pallets and cartons from trucks to the sorting area and vice versa.



This collaborative effort requires clear communication and adherence to safety standards, such as wearing appropriate PPE, following proper lifting techniques, and maintaining explicit pathways to avoid accidents.

Maintaining a clean and orderly workspace is a non‑negotiable aspect of the job. After each sorting cycle, you will be responsible for tidying the area, disposing of packaging waste, and ensuring that sorting bins and conveyors are free of obstructions. A well‑kept environment not only promotes efficiency but also supports a culture of safety and professionalism.

The position operates on a shift schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends, depending on operational demand. Flexibility is essential, and you will receive a shift allowance in accordance with company policy. Training will be provided on all equipment, safety procedures, and the warehouse management system, so prior experience is not mandatory.
