You'll ensure seamless integration, data integrity, and scalability across Finance, Sales, and Customer Success systems.This role blends technical leadership with hands-on development. You'll mentor engineers, guide architecture, and deliver automation and data solutions aligned with strategic business goals. Leveraging expertise in Java, Python, workflow automation (Workato), data platforms (Snowflake), cloud technologies (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Docker), and messaging frameworks (Kafka), you'll build high-performance, cloud-native systems that enhance automation and financial operations.Primary Job ResponsibilitiesMentor and lead the design and development of automation solutions for Finance and Revenue platformsDeliver scalable, maintainable code focused on performance, reliability, and securityProvide architectural direction and uphold engineering best practicesEnsure the health and integration of Finance systems including Salesforce Billing, Oracle, Informatica, and MarketoLead initiatives to improve automation, workflow efficiency, and data consistency across the Finance ecosystemDrive adoption of best practices in automation, test coverage,



and cloud-native deliveryPartner with Product, Finance, Sales, and Data teams to translate complex technical needs into impactful business solutionsMaintain high standards for security, performance, and estimation accuracyIdentify and remove blockers early to ensure timely, high-quality releasesSkills and QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field7 + years in software engineering with deep experience in integration and workflow automation3 + years leading engineering teams of 5 + membersProficiency in Java/Python or JavascriptExperience integrating Salesforce, payment portals, collection tools, and ERP systems (Oracle)Strong background in Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-scale architectureSolid grasp of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelinesExcellent problem-solving, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skillsBackground in FinTech preferredProven experience in leveraging AI tools and frameworks to improve engineering productivity and delivery efficiencyExperience designing or integrating AI-driven applications to enhance automation, data insights, or user experienceMorningstar is an equal opportunity employer.Working Conditions The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
