Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated tests for Web, API, and Mobile applications.
Automate in-sprint stories and ensure test code is integrated with feature development.
Maintain healthy and reliable automation suites as the product evolves.
Implement robust locator and synchronization strategies using test-ids, accessibility IDs, network stubbing, and explicit waits.
Build and maintain reusable automation libraries, fixtures, test data factories, and API seeding utilities.
Contribute to and maintain CI/CD test pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab), including parallel runs, artifacts, flaky test handling, and dashboards.
Generate and publish clear automation reports (Allure/HTML/JUnit) tracking pass rates, execution time, and flaky trends.
Collaborate with developers and QA teams to triage failures, perform root-cause analysis, and file high-quality defects.
Support adoption of contract testing and mocks for faster and more reliable feedback loops.
Apply AI-based tools and approaches to enhance testing productivity and efficiency.




Support and mentor junior team members on automation practices, debugging, and test design fundamentals.

Mandatory Skills

Strong hands-on experience in test automation across UI, API, and Mobile layers.
Web Automation: Cypress with JavaScript/TypeScript (custom commands, fixtures, intercepts, page object or screenplay patterns).
API Automation: Postman (pre/post request scripts, environments, Newman integration) or REST Assured (Java).
Mobile Automation: Appium with Java, using robust locator strategies (accessibilityId, iOS predicates, UIAutomator).
Solid understanding of testing fundamentals, including boundary cases, negative scenarios, assertions, data setup/teardown, and flake prevention.
Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Working knowledge of Git workflows, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and merge conflict resolution.
