Quality Assurance Chemist – Herbal & Botanical Extracts

Location: Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh (On-Site)

Experience: 6–12 Years
Qualification: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc. Chemistry or equivalent

About the Role
We're an established manufacturer of herbal extracts, botanical extracts and phytochemical ingredients, supplying quality-conscious customers in India and abroad. As we strengthen our quality systems, we're looking for a systematic QA Chemist who believes quality should be built into the process — not just checked at the end.
You'll work directly with senior management to build, implement and continuously verify our GMP and Quality Management Systems on the factory floor.

What You'll Do
Develop, implement and maintain GMP and QMS systems
Prepare, review and control SOPs and Batch Manufacturing Records
Handle deviations, investigations, CAPA and change controls
Conduct internal GMP audits and drive timely closure of observations
Prepare the facility for customer, regulatory and certification audits




Review manufacturing and QC records before batch release
Manage customer complaints, root-cause investigations and CAPA
Maintain calibration, validation and qualification documentation
Coordinate vendor qualification and quality evaluation
Drive GMP training and a strong quality culture across departments

What We're Looking For
Strong practical knowledge of GMP and QA systems
Excellent documentation and follow-up discipline
Hands-on experience with deviations, CAPA and root-cause investigation
Ability to spot system weaknesses and implement fixes
Solid communication and interdepartmental coordination
Comfortable with Excel and digital documentation
Firm on compliance while working smoothly with Production and QC

Preferred: Experience in herbal/botanical extracts, phytochemicals, nutraceuticals, APIs or pharma manufacturing with strong GMP systems. Exposure to customer audits and export documentation
