About the Role:

We are looking for a Technical Lead – Backend Engineering to take end-to-end technical and architectural ownership of the MPS core backend platform.
You will be responsible for designing and evolving a robust, scalable and maintainable backend architecture capable of supporting multiple machine types,



manufacturing environments and customer plants.

This is a hands-on technical role. You will continue to contribute to architecture and development while establishing engineering standards, mentoring the team and driving technical excellence.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an industrial/on-premise environment, where reliability, performance and the ability to troubleshoot production systems are critical.

Responsibilities:

Architecture and evolution of the Spring Boot core backend and its REST surface.
Introducing and owning database migration discipline across development, staging and plant environments; replacing schema auto-generation with versioned, reviewed migrations.
Designing the domain abstraction that lets MPS be configured for current machine types and new industries without forking the codebase.
Data modelling and query performance for high-volume machine event and inspection tables.
