Its subsidiary, BALCO, comprising 5.7 LTPA smelter and 1740 MW power generator, is currently poised to scale-up by 4.35 LTPA, taking the total aluminium production capacity to 1 MTPA. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a detailed start-up strategy for the potline, aligning with overall project timelines and milestones.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure a smooth transition from commissioning to operational status.
• Implement systems for real-time performance monitoring of potline equipment during start-up.
• Oversee troubleshooting activities,



addressing any operational issues and coordinating with engineering and maintenance teams.
• Oversee the start-up procedures for reduction cells, including the gradual initiation of alumina reduction, temperature control, and current distribution.
• Implement phased start-up protocols for individual reduction cell lines.
• Manage the integration and start-up of rectifier systems, ensuring proper synchronization with reduction cell operations.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to optimize power distribution and rectification processes.
• Collaborate with process engineers to optimize potline processes for efficiency, energy consumption, and product quality.
• Implement adjustments to operational parameters during start-up to achieve optimal performance.
