UI/UX Design Intern — Khwaaish
Location: Remote
Type: Internship
Stipend: Based on role/task fit — will be discussed during the process
About Khwaaish
Ordering food, groceries, or booking a table today means jumping between multiple apps, scrolling through endless menus, and repeating the same choices every time. Khwaaish is building an AI-powered ordering assistant that fixes this — you just chat naturally, like talking to a person who already knows what you want, and it handles the rest.
We're building the product experience from the ground up — a chat interface with real-time responses, interactive cards for products, carts, addresses, and payments, and a design language that needs to feel as clean and trustworthy as the best consumer apps out there.
What you'll work on
Designing and refining UI for a live, chat-first commerce product — message bubbles, product/cart/address cards, loading states, and micro-interactions
Creating mockups and prototypes for new features as we build them out
Improving existing screens based on real user flows and feedback
Collaborating closely with the engineering team to make sure designs translate cleanly into a working product, not just static mockups
Thinking through mobile-first, clean, minimal design that fits a conversational interface (not a traditional app layout)
What we're looking for
A strong eye for clean, modern UI — show us your portfolio
Comfortable with Figma (or your tool of choice) for mockups and prototyping
Understanding of mobile-first and responsive design principles
Bonus: interest in conversational/chat interfaces, or experience designing for AI products
Self-driven — this is a real product with real users, not a simulated project
Why Khwaaish
Real ownership — your designs will ship to actual users, not sit in a portfolio folder
Work directly with founders and engineers on a fast-moving product
Great prospect if you want hands-on experience designing for an AI-first product from an early stage
