Company Description The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Bengaluru, India, implementing the PM POSHAN (Mid-Day Meal Programme) initiative. Every school day, the foundation serves nutritious meals to 2.35 million children in government and government-aided schools across 16 States and 3 Union Territories, helping them attend school nourished and ready to learn. Role Description The Quality Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat, responsible for ensuring that all meal production and distribution processes adhere to defined quality, safety, and hygiene standards. This role involves monitoring daily kitchen operations, conducting regular inspections and audits, and verifying compliance with internal protocols and external regulatory requirements. The Quality Officer documents quality checks, maintains accurate records, and reports non-conformities, working closely with kitchen, logistics, and operations teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. The role includes training staff on quality, food safety, and positive manufacturing practices, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and participating in root-cause analysis for issues.
