1. Product Strategy & Portfolio
Defining which accessory products (e.g. supports, hitches, chassis components, safety accessories, air-suspensions, electronic products, etc.) should be offered.
This includes:
Identifying market trends (e.g. e-mobility for motorhomes and caravans, weight reduction, comfort, off-road)
Analyzing competitors
Establishing product roadmaps (What new developments are being implemented? What is being discontinued?)
2. Customer and Market Understanding
Knowing exactly who the partners and customers are:
Bodybuilders (e.g. motorhome, trailer and caravan manufacturers)
Dealers / Wholesalers
End customers (e.g. motorhome, trailer and caravan users)
Based on this, needs have to be translated into concrete product requirements (e.g. “lighter,” “easier to install”, “safety increase”)
3. Managing Product Development
Working closely with R&D;, Purchasing, and Quality Management:
Defining requirements (specifications)
Overseeing development projects
Ensuring that products are technically, regulatory, economically viable
Determining what should be built and why
4. Business Responsibility

Setting pricing strategy
Monitoring margins
Sales and revenue planning

Sales (market feedback, sales pitches, …)
Marketing (positioning, campaigns, product launches, …)
Production & Supply Chain (availability, costs, …)
After-sales / Service (complaints, spare parts, …)
6. Lifecycle Management
Products have to be supported throughout their entire lifecycle:
Launch
Growth & Optimization
Maturity Phase (cost reduction, streamlining variants)
Phase-out (end-of-life strategy)
7. Regulation & Standards
Compliance with standards (e.g. EU regulations, approvals)
Safety requirements
