The Udaiti Foundation is redefining the narrative of economic development in India by placing women's economic empowerment at the centre of national progress. Aligned with the Government of India's vision of achieving a $30 trillion economy and becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047, Udaiti is focused on unlocking the full economic potential of women as a driver of inclusive and sustainable growth.
Women represent one of India's most underleveraged economic assets. Despite progress, India's Female Labour Force Participation Rate (FLFPR) remains among the lowest globally, and women-owned enterprises continue to face barriers in accessing markets, finance, and growth opportunities. The Udaiti Foundation was established to address these challenges through a focused and ambitious mandate: to double the number of women-led enterprises and increase India's FLFPR to 50% by 2047.
Led by Founding CEO Pooja Goyal, Udaiti operates at the intersection of policy,
private sector engagement, data innovation, and ecosystem partnerships. The organisation works closely with governments, businesses, and civil society stakeholders to design and scale solutions that create sustainable economic opportunities for women.
At the heart of Udaiti's work is the Close the Gender Gap (CGG) Data Hub, a platform that provides actionable insights on workplace gender equity. The Foundation also develops evidence-based tools such as the Women's Economic Empowerment Index (WEEI) to support data-driven policymaking and program design.
Through strategic partnerships with leading organisations and state governments, Udaiti is working to create large-scale, measurable impact for women across India.
