CATIA V5 (3D/2D Drawings & Surfacing)
BIW parts design & development

Key Requirement

3 to 5 years of experience in Automotive BIW Design using CATIA V5
Strong knowledge of BIW design and development of body structure from concept to production stage
Able to develop master sections and feasible study
Ability to work with styling teams to convert design concepts into manufacturable parts.
Good understanding of sheet metal parts material, manufacturing process, assembly, crashworthiness
Good knowledge in GD&T;, sheet metal tolerance, DFM & DFA
Optimize the designs for weight reduction, cost efficiency and manufacturing without compromising the performance




Provide design solutions based on CAE feedback
Ability to take independent technical decisions based on engineering requirement
Liaison with supplier teams for validation and release.
Experience in benchmarking, packaging studies, and defining optimal design solutions.
Strong problem-solving, project management & communication skills.

Experience: 3-5 Years

Education: BE or Master in Mechanical or Relevant
