Job Title
QA Engineer
Nature of Work:
• You will contribute as a team member in testing and quality assurance of application features
• You will work with cross-functional and distributed teams to validate new features and enhancements
• You will execute functional, API, and basic automation tests for product components
• Participate in testing of applications (UI, backend, APIs) to ensure quality and reliability
Participate in QA Activities by:
• Executing test cases and contributing to test planning activities
• Supporting automation efforts for regression and functional testing
• Identifying, logging, and tracking defects effectively
• Ensuring basic quality standards and contributing to system stability
Collaborate across teams by:
• Working closely with developers, QA members, and product teams
• Participating in sprint ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, retrospectives)
• Supporting junior members and sharing knowledge within the team
• Managing assigned testing tasks/modules independently with some guidance
About the Ideal Candidate
Education & Experience
University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
5–8 years of experience in QA / Automation Testing
Technical Skills
5–8 years in QA / Functional Testing
Strong understanding of SDLC / STLC
Backend testing using SQL (Oracle / MySQL)
API testing with Postman / SOAP UI
Automation exposure: Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress Basic UI & API automation Awareness of automation frameworks
Basic programming knowledge in Java / JavaScript
Understanding of OOP concepts
Tools & Platforms
CI/CD exposure (Jenkins or Azure Devops)
Version control (Git)
Build/testing tools (Devops, XUnit, TestNG)
Data formats: JSON, XML, HTML, CSS
Contemporary QA Expectations
Awareness of AI-assisted testing tools: Test generation Self-healing automation Tools like Testim, Functionize (or similar)
System & QA Awareness
Basic understanding of: API validation & contracts Logging & debugging Test automation strategies
