Job Description
Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs;).
Design mineral processing circuits including crushing, grinding, classification, flotation, leaching, and dewatering.
Select appropriate technologies and equipment based on ore characteristics and project goals.
Create detailed plant layouts using CAD tools.
Collaborate with civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to integrate systems.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
Conduct feasibility studies and techno-economic evaluations.
Perform mass balance and water balance calculations.
Simulate process performance using modeling softwares. Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and ramp-up phases.
Review vendor drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of equipment
Integrate environmental and sustainability considerations into plant design.
Ensure compliance with local and international mining regulations.
Design systems for dust control, water recycling, and tailings management.
