Position summary
The Content Manager serves as the Oil, Gas & Consumable Fuels subject matter expert within the Energy & Industrials pod and owns its expert research content coverage. The role identifies the companies, themes and investor questions that warrant coverage; defines and validates the Network Member profiles needed; designs differentiated interview agendas; leads human-moderated one-to-one interviews; and develops recurring programs for execution by Associates. The Content Manager reviews content for research quality and relevance and works with Associates and Compliance through publication.
The role requires an investor mindset and deep knowledge of Oil, Gas & Consumable Fuels, including its companies, value chain, financial statements, operating drivers, industry cycles and current debates. The Content Manager must also understand relevant credit, private-market and other investor perspectives well enough to assess the sub-sector broadly; ask incisive questions; challenge superficial answers; and produce content that leaves investors materially better informed.
Key responsibilities
Coverage ownership and research agenda
Set and maintain the research agenda for Oil, Gas & Consumable Fuels, including priority companies, themes, catalysts, investor debates and underserved information needs.
Identify emerging themes, inflection points and content gaps early, connecting macro, sector and sub-sector developments to company-level implications.
Translate earnings calls, conferences, market events, client demand and usage signals into timely interviews and recurring content programs for Oil, Gas & Consumable Fuels.
Use a shared research foundation to develop several distinct conversations on the same company or topic without producing repetitive content.
Network Member strategy and interview leadership
Build and maintain a map of the roles, organizations, value-chain positions and geographies needed to answer priority research questions.
