Audit & Taxation Manager (Chartered Accountant)

About the Role

MGA is looking for a qualified and agile Audit & Taxation Manager to lead audit, accounting, taxation, and compliance assignments. The ideal candidate should have 3–4 years of post-qualification experience in a CA firm and be capable of independently managing client portfolios while ensuring timely and accurate execution of assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Audit

* Lead and manage Statutory Audits, Tax Audits, Internal Audits, and Limited Review assignments.
* Plan, execute, and review audit engagements while ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
* Prepare audit reports, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
* Coordinate with clients to obtain required information and resolve audit observations.
* Ensure timely completion of audit assignments.

Direct & Indirect Taxation

* Prepare, review, and file Income Tax Returns for individuals, firms, LLPs, and companies.




* Manage GST registrations, return filings, reconciliations, refunds, and assessments.
* Handle TDS/TCS compliance, return filings, and reconciliations.
* Draft replies to notices received from Income Tax and GST departments.
* Provide tax planning and advisory support to clients.

Accounting & Compliance

* Review books of accounts and financial statements.
* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures.
* Ensure compliance with the Income Tax Act, GST Act, Companies Act, and other applicable laws.
* Maintain statutory compliance calendars and ensure timely filings.

Client & Team Management

* Independently manage multiple client engagements.
* Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
* Mentor, review, and guide junior team members and articles.
* Ensure quality deliverables within agreed timelines.
