Our client is an Australian company, a leader in their industry, seeking an experienced and highly skilled Electrical Engineer (Solar & Battery) to join their team remotely from India.

*Fixed 5-day working week, Monday to Friday, with a day shift*

THE ROLE:

As an Electrical Engineer (Solar & Battery), you will design and support the delivery of solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS) across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You will prepare electrical designs, SLDs, and technical documentation, ensure compliance with Australian standards and CEC guidelines, support installation and commissioning, assist with grid connection applications, and troubleshoot system performance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS) for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
- Prepare electrical designs, single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, and technical drawings in accordance with Australian standards.
- Conduct system sizing, load analysis, and performance modelling to optimise system efficiency and return on investment.
- Oversee and support the installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of solar PV and battery systems.
- Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant Australian standards, regulations,



and CEC guidelines, including AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 5033.
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Provide technical input for quotations, tender submissions, and project feasibility assessments.
- Review and approve design documentation and installation plans prior to project execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues relating to system performance, faults, and commissioning.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, network providers, and other stakeholders regarding system design, approvals, and grid connection requirements.
- Assist with grid connection applications and compliance documentation.
- Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements and optimisation.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies in solar PV, battery storage, and energy management systems.
- Support continuous improvement of engineering processes, standards, and documentation.
- Assist with additional electrical engineering, design, and technical tasks as required.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in solar PV system design, installation, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV technologies, battery energy storage systems, system sizing, and electrical design principles.
- Experience with Australian electrical standards and renewable energy compliance, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 5033, and CEC guidelines.




- Familiarity with AutoCAD for preparing electrical designs and technical drawings.
- Proven experience assessing and documenting solar panel damage for insurance reporting.
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) registration is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote working environment with strong organisational and time management skills.
