He/she will be responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, effective cash flow management, and maintaining robust internal controls.
The role involves managing day-to day accounting functions and leading the accounts team to support
business objectives.
Role & responsibilities
- Manage and supervise day-to-day accounting operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate booking of purchases and Invoicing.
- Monitor general ledger, trial balance, and account reconciliations.
- Conduct periodic review of financial records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable laws.
- Review and file GST returns, TDS returns, and statutory reports within prescribed timelines.
- Overview of payroll & labour law compliances.
- Overview accounts of group companies, personal entities.
- Prepare various accounting SOPs in line with rules and regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Manage assessments,
notices, and audits from government departments.
- Monitor customer receivables and collections.
- Review vendor payments and ensure timely processing.
- Control outstanding balances and improve working capital management.
- Reconcile customer and vendor accounts regularly.
- Problem solving and resolutions of teams concern/queries.
- Manage banking relationships and banking transactions.
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Prepare MIS reports for management decision-making.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Establish and maintain robust internal control systems.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's Degree. CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance preferred.
- Experience in logistics, customs clearance, freight forwarding, or transportation industry preferred.
