RHL Renova Cancer Centre is looking for an experienced and dedicated Consultant – Nuclear Medicine to join its comprehensive cancer care team. The consultant will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine services and working closely with Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Surgical Oncology teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret PET-CT, SPECT/CT, gamma camera and other Nuclear Medicine investigations.
- Evaluate patients and correlate imaging findings with clinical history and laboratory investigations.
- Provide accurate and timely Nuclear Medicine reports.
- Perform and supervise diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures.
- Assess and manage patients requiring radionuclide/radioisotope therapy, as applicable.
- Counsel patients regarding procedures, preparation, precautions and post-procedure care.
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology and other clinical departments for comprehensive cancer care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions and contribute to treatment planning where appropriate.
- Supervise and guide Nuclear Medicine technologists and departmental staff.
- Maintain appropriate patient documentation, records and quality standards.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement, audits and clinical protocols.
- Stay updated with developments in molecular imaging, theranostics and advanced Nuclear Medicine.
Qualification
- MD / DNB in Nuclear Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical registration.
- Relevant experience in Nuclear Medicine, preferably in a cancer-care setting, will be preferred.
