Roles and Responsibilities :

Key Purpose of the Role: The role is responsible for driving cost optimisation, profitability improvement, inventory governance, and working capital efficiency across BiofuelCircle’s rapidly scaling biomass supply chain operations. The position will support a business projected to grow from 150+ Cr revenue in FY26 to 5000+ Cr by FY30, with operational expansion from 100 to 1000+ Biomass Banks and significant increase in inventory and logistics deployment across India.

What Key Tasks will be involved?

Cost Management & Profitability

• Build and manage location-wise profitability and cost optimisation models across biomass aggregation, storage, processing, and supply operations

• Develop region-wise and business-wise P&L; tracking mechanisms to improve operational profitability

• Establish standard costing, variance analysis, and operational cost benchmarking mechanisms

• Partner with Operations and Supply teams to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities across the value chain

Working Capital & Inventory Governance

• Analyse inventory carrying costs, ageing, shrinkages, handling losses, and working capital utilisation across distributed operations

• Monitor and improve working capital efficiency across inventory cycles and offtake planning

• Create scalable cost governance frameworks for Biomass Banks, Depots, logistics, warehousing, and processing operations

Financial Controls & MIS

• Build MIS dashboards and real-time financial reporting (unit economics) systems for leadership decision-making





• Drive process compliance and financial controls across multi-location operations

• Conduct field visits across Biomass Banks and operational locations for financial validation and process audits

Business Planning & Cross Functional Collaboration

• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, long-term cost planning, and scalability readiness for the next phase of business growth

• Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Business teams to improve cost and operational efficiency

Opportunity This role offers an opportunity to build and scale financial control systems for one of India’s fastest-growing biomass supply chain platforms, with direct exposure to large-scale operations, commodity supply chain finance, and working capital management. The role will play a strategic part in improving cost efficiency, profitability, and operational efficiency during a high-growth expansion phase, while working closely with leadership on business scale-up, investor readiness, and building scalable finance processes to support growth PAN India.

Report To:: Report to the Head of Finance and collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Regional Business teams to strengthen cost governance, profitability, and working capital management across PAN India operations.

Job Requirements :

- Qualified CMA (Mandatory)
- 5-8 years of experience in a similar role
- Robust background in financial analysis, cost variance analysis, and cost management.
- Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and create actionable recommendations based on findings.
