About the Role

Nangia & Co LLP is looking for an experienced Manager – Direct Tax to handle direct tax advisory, compliance, assessments, and litigation matters. The role involves managing client engagements, providing tax solutions, and leading a team of tax professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and review direct tax compliance, including income tax returns, tax audits, and related filings.
- Handle income tax assessments, notices, appeals, and litigation before tax authorities.
- Provide direct tax advisory on corporate transactions, restructuring, and other business matters.
- Research and interpret provisions of the Income Tax Act, rules, circulars, notifications, and case laws.
- Identify tax risks and opportunities and provide practical recommendations to clients.
- Review tax computations, provisions,



and other tax-related deliverables.
- Manage client relationships and ensure timely delivery of assignments.
- Lead and mentor junior team members and review their work.
- Coordinate with internal teams and clients on complex tax matters.

Qualifications & Skills

- CA qualification preferred.
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in Direct Tax.
- Strong knowledge of Indian Direct Tax laws and regulations.
- Experience in tax advisory, compliance, assessments, and litigation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and client-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.

Preferred Candidates: Professionals from Big 4, leading consulting firms, or reputed CA/tax advisory firms with relevant Direct Tax experience.
