Job Description Optical Fiber Cable Trainee

Position: Trainee Quality / Production / Maintenance

Department: Optical Fiber Cable (OFC)

Number of Positions: 20

Location: Urse, Talegaon, Pune

Stipend: 20,000 – 24,000 per month

Educational Qualification

- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Physics or Chemistry
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Chemical / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- Freshers and candidates with relevant internship/training experience can apply.

Job Purpose

To support day-to-day operations in OFC manufacturing, quality control, production processes, and plant maintenance, while gaining hands-on experience in optical fiber cable manufacturing and industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities

Production

- Support day-to-day Optical Fiber Cable production activities.
- Monitor production processes and process parameters.
- Assist in achieving production targets, quality standards, and productivity.
- Identify and report process deviations and abnormalities.
- Maintain production records and documentation.
- Follow SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures.

Quality

- Conduct in-process and final quality inspections as per defined standards.
- Assist in testing and inspection of OFC products and raw materials.
- Record quality data and prepare inspection reports.




- Support rejection analysis, root-cause identification, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

Maintenance

- Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and process-related equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities.
- Maintain maintenance records and checklists.
- Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams for timely resolution of equipment issues.

- Basic understanding of manufacturing and industrial processes.
- Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong learning attitude and willingness to work in shifts.
