Join Barclays as Vice President - Wholesale Impairments, where Identification of potential impairment triggers, analysis of relevant financial and non-financial information to assess the potential for impairment of financial assets, and application of quantitative and qualitative impairment tests to determine whether an asset is considered impaired. To Be Successful In This Role, You Should Have
- Technical & Portfolio Analytics.
- Expertise in IFRS9 impairment, credit risk (PD/LGD/EAD) and the ability to explain portfolio movements and key ECL drivers.
- Strong analytical skills to identify risks/opportunities, challenge model outputs, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Forecasting & Business Planning.
- Lead the MTP, outlook processes, ensuring robust forecasts and clear linkage between macro scenarios, portfolio trends, and impairment outcomes.
- Anticipate emerging risks and proactively engage stakeholders on potential impacts to P&L; and business strategy.
