Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior QA/SDET Specialist to build and own a modern quality engineering capability across web, mobile, backend, APIs, and data-driven workflows. The role requires a hands-on engineer who can define test strategy, build automation frameworks, improve release confidence, and embed quality into the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and drive the end-to-end quality strategy across frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, mobile applications, and critical user journeys.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks with strong emphasis on reliability, maintainability, and execution speed.
- Own functional, regression, integration, API, end-to-end, and where relevant performance and security testing approaches.
- Embed automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines and establish explicit release readiness and defect triage standards.
- Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and DevOps teams to identify risks early and shift quality practices left in the development lifecycle.
- Develop reusable test utilities, test data strategies, mocks, service virtualization, and environment management practices.
- Analyze flaky tests, production defects, and escaped issues to identify systemic root causes and improve engineering quality.
- Define meaningful quality metrics covering defect leakage, automation effectiveness, release stability, test coverage, and execution health.
- Review requirements and technical designs for testability, edge cases, failure modes, and non-functional risks.
- Mentor QA engineers and help establish consistent quality engineering standards across the team.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 8 years of experience in software quality engineering, automation, or SDET roles, with substantial hands-on ownership.
- Strong programming ability in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript,



Python, or a comparable modern language used to build maintainable automation frameworks.
- Deep hands-on experience with modern UI automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIO; Playwright experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong API and integration testing experience using REST and event-driven systems, with tools and frameworks such as Postman, REST Assured, Pact, or equivalent.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of test architecture, test pyramid principles, contract testing, mocks, stubs, and test data management.
- Experience testing distributed systems, asynchronous workflows, third-party integrations, and failure/recovery scenarios.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database validation for end-to-end testing.
- Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to work directly with engineers on production-quality issues.
- Demonstrated ability to establish quality standards and influence engineering practices rather than operating as a downstream manual testing function.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with performance testing using k6, JMeter, Gatling, or equivalent.
- Experience with mobile automation using Appium, Detox, Espresso, or XCUITest.
- Experience testing cloud-native, microservices, or event-driven architectures.
- Experience in fintech, lending, payments, or other transaction-heavy and regulated products.
- Experience with observability tools and production monitoring to support quality validation and incident analysis.
