Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion Functional Consultant – Finance (O2C) with 5–8 years of relevant experience to take end-to-end functional ownership of PPM-integrated Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes within Oracle Fusion ERP.

The role will focus on O2C functional ownership, business requirement elicitation, solution design, production support, enhancements, quarterly Oracle release impact assessment, regression testing, cross-module finance dependencies, integrations, audit compliance, and business continuity.

The candidate will act as a key functional interface between Finance business stakeholders, technical teams, QA, reporting teams, Oracle Support, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Fusion O2C – Functional Ownership

- Act as the primary Functional SPOC for Oracle Fusion Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
- Act as a customer-facing SPOC for Business Leads.
- Lead requirements elicitation and consolidation activities.
- Understand business requirements and recommend optimal functional solutions.
- Document proposed solutions and obtain business stakeholder buy-in.
- Demonstrate strong functional knowledge of Oracle Fusion PPM, including:
- Project Setup
- Cost Collection / Cost Collation
- Contracts
- Billing

- Own functional areas including:

- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Customer Master Data and Customer Profiles
- Billing and Invoicing
- Receipts
- Adjustments
- Aging
- Reconciliation
- Refunds

- Ensure accurate accounting flows from AR to General Ledger (GL).
- Validate accounting entries through Subledger Accounting (SLA).

Production Support & Issue Resolution

- Provide L2/L3 functional support for Oracle Fusion O2C production issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis across:
- Application/setup issues
- Transaction issues
- Data issues
- Integration issues

- Coordinate with technical teams responsible for Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), reports, and extensions.
- Work with Oracle Support on Service Requests (SRs), including logs, replication steps, and issue analysis.
- Track production issues through resolution and closure.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with business stakeholders during production escalations.

Enhancements & Change Management

- Analyze enhancement and change requests received from Finance business teams.
- Develop and document:
- Functional approach
- Solution design
- Impact assessment
- Finance dependencies
- Upstream/downstream impact





- Support configuration changes, data fixes, and controlled deployments.
- Follow established change and release governance processes.
- Ensure changes are appropriately documented, tested, approved, and deployed.

Testing & Oracle Quarterly Release Management

- Own functional readiness for Oracle Fusion quarterly patch/update releases.
- Assess the impact of quarterly Oracle updates on the O2C functional scope.
- Plan and execute O2C regression testing.
- Prepare:
- Test scenarios
- Test cases
- UAT test scripts
- Expected results

- Support business stakeholders during SIT and UAT cycles.
- Validate functional changes and provide appropriate functional sign-off.
- Ensure critical O2C processes remain stable following Oracle quarterly updates.

Cross-Module & Finance Dependency Management

Record-to-Report (R2R) – Required

Strong functional understanding of:

- GL posting dependencies from AR transactions.
- Period-close readiness.
- AR-to-GL reconciliation.
- Aging and reconciliation.
- Financial reporting dependencies.
- Coordination with R2R/GL teams.

Procure-to-Pay (P2P) – Working Knowledge

- Customer refunds and AP interaction.
- Netting scenarios.
- Intercompany scenarios, where applicable.
- Understanding of dependencies between O2C and P2P processes.

Revenue Management – Conceptual Understanding

- Understanding of revenue recognition dependencies on billing events.
- Coordination with Revenue Accounting and R2R teams.
- Understanding of downstream accounting impacts of O2C transactions.

Integrations & Reporting

- Understand O2C-related integrations with:
- Upstream billing systems
- Order management systems
- Payment gateways
- Bank integrations

- Work closely with technical teams on integration-related issues and enhancements.
- Support finance reporting requirements using:

- OTBI
- BI Publisher

- Validate finance data consistency across systems.
- Support reconciliation and finance reporting activities.

Compliance, Audit & Documentation

- Ensure O2C processes comply with ITGC and audit requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive:
- Functional documentation
- SOPs
- Process flows
- Support playbooks
- Solution documentation





- Support internal and external audits by providing required data, documentation, and functional explanations.
- Ensure appropriate controls are followed across configuration, change management, testing, and production support.

Key Stakeholder Management

Required Skills & Experience

- 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in Oracle Fusion / Oracle Cloud ERP Functional Consulting.
- Strong hands-on functional experience in Oracle Fusion Finance – O2C.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Experience with billing, invoicing, receipts, adjustments, aging, reconciliation, and refunds.
- Strong understanding of AR-to-GL accounting flows.
- Knowledge of Subledger Accounting (SLA).
- Good functional knowledge of Oracle Fusion PPM, particularly:
- Projects
- Cost Collection
- Contracts
- Billing

- Strong understanding of R2R / GL dependencies.
- Working knowledge of P2P.
- Conceptual understanding of Revenue Management / Revenue Recognition.
- Experience handling L2/L3 production support.
- Experience in root-cause analysis and production issue resolution.
- Experience with Oracle quarterly releases and impact assessment.
- Strong experience in SIT, UAT, regression testing, and release management.
- Knowledge of O2C integrations and coordination with OIC/technical teams.
- Exposure to OTBI and BI Publisher.
- Experience with ITGC, audit, compliance, and functional documentation.
