Role & responsibilities :

- Lead the end-to-end procurement function for all construction projects.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
- Plan and execute procurement of civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, fire protection, elevators, IT, security systems, and other project-related packages.
- Prepare procurement schedules aligned with project timelines.
- Identify, evaluate, pre-qualify, and develop vendors and subcontractors.
- Float tenders, evaluate techno-commercial bids, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize contracts.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and award of work packages without impacting project schedules.
- Monitor contract performance and resolve commercial issues during execution.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, statutory requirements, and ethical business practices.
- Work closely with project, design, engineering, planning, finance, and site teams to meet project objectives.
- Drive value engineering and cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality.
- Maintain procurement MIS, contract documentation, and vendor performance records.

Desired profile

- Solid knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and market trends.
- Thorough understanding of civil construction materials including cement, steel, concrete, aggregates, finishes, waterproofing, doors, windows, glazing, flooring, roofing, and interior materials.
- IT infrastructure and ELV systems
- Security and Building Management Systems (BMS)




- Interior fit-outs and specialized works
- Strong understanding of item-rate contracts, lump-sum contracts, turnkey contracts, rate agreements, and subcontract agreements.
- Ability to review technical specifications, BOQs, drawings, and commercial terms.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent vendor management and relationship-building capabilities.
- Sound analytical and decision-making ability
- Hands-on approach with the ability to independently manage complex procurement activities.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
- Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and procurement management tools.
- Proven track record of successfully leading procurement for multiple large-scale construction projects.
- Extensive network of suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, and subcontractors across construction disciplines.
- Ability to lead procurement teams and mentor junior professionals.
- Strong focus on timely delivery, cost control, quality assurance, and contract compliance.
- Willingness to travel to project locations as required.

Requirements:

- Education: Civil Engineering graduate (B.E./B. Tech in Civil Engineering preferred)
- Experience: 15- 18 years of relevant experience in construction procurement and contract management
- Experience in handling procurement for large Institutional, commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
