Role & responsibilities

- Manage shift-wise operation and monitoring of UF/RO/WTP systems and associated equipment.
- Monitor critical parameters including flow, pressure, pH, TDS, conductivity, recovery and water quality.
- Monitor feed-water and treated-water quality and coordinate with the laboratory team for analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor membrane, filter and cartridge performance and identify abnormal operating conditions.
- Handle chemical dosing, consumption monitoring and ensure correct dosing as per SOP/process requirements.
- Carry out or coordinate backwashing, regeneration and CIP activities, wherever applicable.
- Monitor pumps, valves, dosing systems and other WTP/utility equipment for operational abnormalities.
- Troubleshoot process deviations, equipment-related issues and water-quality problems; coordinate with maintenance for breakdown resolution.
- Allocate and supervise shift manpower and ensure proper execution of operational activities.
- Maintain shift logbooks, water/chemical consumption records, operational data and production reports.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Production, Laboratory and Utilities teams for smooth plant operation.




- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety procedures, housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Report breakdowns, process losses and abnormal conditions and support preventive-maintenance activities.
- Support plant inspections, audits and applicable compliance requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

- 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in industrial Water Treatment / WTP / UFRO / RO operations.
- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
- Candidates from water-treatment, chemical manufacturing or industrial utility environments preferred.
- Solid hands-on operational and troubleshooting experience is essential.
- Should be comfortable working in rotational shifts.
- Experience in shift manpower handling and supervision.
- Practical understanding of water-treatment processes and operating parameters.
- Candidates with only theoretical exposure and no hands-on plant experience will not be preferred.
