The Buyer - O&M; Procurement is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of Operations & Maintenance materials, spare parts, consumables, services, and equipment required for uninterrupted plant or business operations. The role involves supplier management, contract execution, cost optimization, inventory coordination, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for O&M; materials, spares, consumables, and services.
- Review purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders within agreed timelines.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost savings and service improvements.
- Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and commercial compliance.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Stores teams to ensure material availability.
- Conduct RFQs, evaluate quotations, and perform techno-commercial analysis.




- Track order status and expedite critical deliveries to avoid operational downtime.
- Maintain procurement documentation and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Support contract management, vendor onboarding, and supplier audits.
- Analyze procurement data and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field.
- Experience in O&M; Procurement, Maintenance Procurement, Industrial Procurement, or Plant Procurement.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in manufacturing, power, oil & gas, utilities, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other ERP platforms.
- Experience in sourcing maintenance spares, MRO items, and technical services.
