- We are seeking a qualified and motivated Urban Planner to support the preparation, review and implementation of Zonal Development Plans and other urban planning projects in Patna.
- The ideal candidate should possess robust technical knowledge of urban and regional planning, land use planning, GIS-based analysis, development control regulations, and statutory planning processes.
- The selected candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, government agencies, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality planning outputs aligned with urban development objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review Zonal Development Plans, Local Area Plans, and related statutory planning documents.
- Conduct land use surveys, demographic analysis, infrastructure assessments, and urban growth studies.
- Develop planning proposals, zoning regulations, and development control guidelines.
- Undertake GIS-based mapping, spatial analysis, and data interpretation.
- Coordinate with government departments, local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, planning drawings, and project documentation.
- Conduct field visits, site assessments, and stakeholder consultations.
- Analyze urban infrastructure requirements, transportation networks, housing needs, and environmental considerations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant planning regulations, urban development policies, and statutory requirements.
- Support project management activities, including timelines, deliverables, and client coordination.





Required Skills

- Knowledge of urban and regional planning principles.
- Understanding of Development Control Regulations (DCR), zoning regulations, and statutory planning processes.
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS/QGIS).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and spatial planning tools.
- Strong analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret planning policies, land use data, and spatial information.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in government, consulting, infrastructure, smart city, or urban development projects.
- Exposure to AMRUT, Smart Cities Mission, PM Gati Shakti, Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), or similar urban development initiatives.
- Experience with demographic and socioeconomic analysis.
- Knowledge of urban infrastructure planning and sustainable development principles.
- Knowledge of urban and regional planning principles.
- Understanding of Development Control Regulations (DCR), zoning regulations, and statutory planning processes.
