Role & responsibilities:

- Supervise and interpret microbiological investigations including bacteriology, virology, mycology, and parasitology.
- Validate culture, sensitivity, serology, and molecular diagnostic reports before release.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of laboratory results.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Internal Quality Control (IQC) and External Quality Assurance Programs (EQAS).
- Investigate non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure compliance with NABL, CAP, ISO, and other applicable accreditation standards.
- Recommend preventive measures and corrective actions to minimize infection risks.
- Supervise microbiology technicians, and other laboratory staffs.
- Conduct training programs on microbiological techniques, biosafety practices, and quality standards.
- Evaluate staff competency and performance regularly.
- Monitor proper handling, storage, and disposal of infectious materials and biomedical waste.
- Investigate laboratory incidents and implement preventive measures.
