- We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented GIS Intern to support the preparation and implementation of the Zonal Development Plan (ZDP) for Patna.
- The selected candidate will work with the planning and GIS team on GIS mapping, spatial data management, digitization, thematic mapping, spatial analysis, and preparation of planning-related maps and datasets.
- This position is ideal for candidates interested in GIS, urban planning, spatial planning, geoinformatics, and development planning.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in GIS activities related to the preparation of the Zonal Development Plan (ZDP), Patna.
- Create, edit, update, and manage GIS spatial databases.
- Perform GIS digitization and georeferencing of maps, plans, and spatial information.
- Prepare thematic maps for land use, transportation, infrastructure, public facilities, utilities, environment, demographics, and other planning components.
- Assist in preparation and analysis of existing land use and proposed land use maps.
- Support spatial analysis for urban development and zoning-related planning requirements.
- Work with administrative boundaries, road networks, land parcels, buildings, utilities,



amenities, and other relevant spatial datasets.
- Collect, compile, clean, validate, and organize GIS and non-GIS data.
- Assist in integrating data from satellite imagery, survey data, existing maps, CAD drawings, and other sources.
- Prepare high-quality maps and layouts for reports, presentations, and planning documents.
- Assist in conversion and integration of CAD, KML/KMZ, shapefile, GeoJSON, raster, and tabular datasets.
- Support field verification and GPS-based data collection, if required.
- Coordinate with planners, GIS professionals, survey teams, and other project team members.
- Maintain proper naming conventions, metadata, documentation, and data quality standards.
- Perform other GIS and planning-related tasks assigned by the project team.
- Valuable working knowledge of QGIS and/or ArcGIS.
- Understanding of basic GIS concepts, spatial data, coordinate systems, projections, and map layouts.
- Knowledge of GIS digitization, georeferencing, spatial editing, and attribute data management.
