Job Summary

We are hiring a Travel Advisor to be the person our customers talk to before they commit.

The role

Nobody enquires about a trip for no reason. Someone has just left a job they gave nine years to. Someone is turning forty and doesnt want it to look like thirty did. Someone has been saying theyll do this since 2019 and has finally run out of excuses. That reason is the thing youre actually working with. The dates and the budget come after.

Your job is to listen properly, understand what someone is really after, and be honest about which of our editions gives them that. Sometimes its a trip they hadnt considered. Sometimes its not this year. Both are good calls.

What you will own

- The conversations. Inbound enquiries over calls, WhatsApp and email. Getting past the itinerary questions to what someone is actually hoping for.
- The read. Why this person, why now, and what theyre quietly worried about. Most people wont say the real thing first.
- The recommendation. Which edition, which departure, and whether now is even the right time. Knowing the catalogue well enough to match a person to a trip without checking with anyone.
- The honest no. Talking someone out of the wrong edition is worth more to us than a booking we later have to unwind.
- The follow-through. Everyone who reaches out is yours until theyve booked or youve closed the loop kindly. Nobody should have to ask you where something stands.
- The handover. Making sure what you learn about someone doesnt die in your inbox. Production runs a better edition when they know whos arriving and why.
- What we learn. The hopes that keep repeating and the ones we cant currently meet thats what tells us where to go next.
- The number. Bookings and revenue against a target, reviewed openly.

Good conversations are the method here, not the alternative.

What we are looking for

- You have spent 1 3 years in a role where you spoke to people directly it does not have to be sales.
- You are genuinely curious about people. You ask a second question, and a third, because you actually want to know.
- You have been on a group trip, ours or someone elses, and you remember what it did for you.
- You can hold a real conversation with someone spending a meaningful amount of money without becoming either pushy or apologetic.
- You have talked someone out of something because it wasnt right for them.
- You follow up without being reminded. Threads dont go quiet on your watch.
- You keep a record other people can rely on, even when nobody is checking.
- You use AI to clear the mundane drafting follow-ups, summarising calls, keeping the tracker current so your time goes to the conversations only a person can have.

This isn't for you if

- You want a script and a dialler. This is advice, not volume.
- Youd rather move quickly through a hundred enquiries than properly through thirty.
- Someones reason for travelling strikes you as beside the point.
- You need someone checking in to keep your conversations moving.
- You treat the record as optional. Someone else always ends up paying for that.
- Youd rather close a booking you know is wrong than lose it.
- Youre uncomfortable being measured. There are numbers here and well talk about them openly.
- You want to work remote.
