Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide assessment and therapeutic interventions for children with developmental, sensory, motor, and functional difficulties. The role involves developing individualized therapy plans, providing sensory integration and motor skill training, supporting ADL development, monitoring progress, and collaborating with parents and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to improve childrens functional independence and overall development
Responsibilities
- Assessment Planning Conduct initial and periodic assessments of childrens functional, sensory, motor, and developmental skills.
- Identify difficulties in fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, attention, and daily living skills.
- Develop individualized therapy goals and treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Therapeutic Intervention Provide sensory integration therapy and activities to improve regulation, attention, and participation.
- Work on fine motor and hand skills such as grasp, handwriting, cutting, drawing, and manipulation.
- Improve gross motor coordination, balance, bilateral coordination, motor planning, and postural control.
- Train children in activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, feeding, grooming, toileting, and independence.
- Address visual-perceptual and visual-motor skills required for academic and functional activities.
- Support children with ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, learning difficulties, cerebral palsy, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Documentation Collaboration Prepare and maintain IEPs, therapy plans, progress notes, assessment reports, and home programs.
- Educate parents and caregivers regarding home-based activities and sensory strategies.
- Coordinate with special educators, speech therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, and other professionals.
- Monitor progress and modify intervention programs according to the childs response.
- Maintain qualified documentation, confidentiality, safety, and ethical standards
