We are looking for an experienced SAP SAC Planning & Analytics Consultant to join our global IT/Analytics team. Reporting to the Senior Manager – IT, the consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning and Analytics solutions.
The role requires strong technical and functional expertise in SAC Planning, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, data modeling, and enterprise analytics. The consultant will work closely with Finance, FP&A;, Supply Chain, business users, SMEs, developers, and IT teams to deliver scalable and high-performing planning and reporting solutions.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and project delivery capabilities.
#KeyResponsibilities
SAP SAC Planning & Analytics
Design, develop, and implement enterprise-level SAP Analytics Cloud Planning and Analytics solutions.
Build planning stories, analytical applications, grid inputs, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
Develop budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecast, and financial planning solutions.
Translate business requirements into scalable SAC technical solutions.
SAC Planning & Data Modeling
Configure and maintain SAC Public and Private Planning Models.
Work with dimensions, versions, currency translation, hierarchies, and planning configurations.
Design and manage Live and Import data connections with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP BPC, Group Reporting, and non-SAP data sources.
Develop and maintain data models supporting Finance and Supply Chain planning.
Data Actions & Advanced Formulas
Design and develop Data Actions, Advanced Formulas, and Allocation Rules.
Automate financial calculations, cost allocations, forecasting, and planning processes.
Develop efficient calculation logic for top-down and bottom-up planning.
Troubleshoot calculation errors and data reconciliation issues.
Predictive Analytics
Utilize SAC Smart Predict and Predictive Forecasting capabilities.
Develop automated baseline forecasts for Finance and Supply Chain.
Evaluate opportunities to leverage augmented analytics and AI capabilities to improve forecasting accuracy.
Security & Workflow
Configure SAC tenant administration, roles, permissions, and Data Access Controls (DAC).




Manage data locking and planning security configurations.
Configure SAC Calendar events and input tasks to support budgeting and forecasting workflows.
Support user access and data-locking issues during critical planning cycles.
Performance & Production Support
Monitor and optimize SAC models, applications, Data Actions, and Advanced Formula scripts.
Perform system and model audits to improve performance.
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure application stability during peak planning periods.
Identify and escalate data synchronization and consolidation bottlenecks.
Transport & Release Management
Manage SAC content and asset lifecycle across Development, QA, and Production environments.
Transport models, dimensions, stories, data actions, and related planning objects.
Support SAP quarterly release and upgrade validation activities.
Business & Project Collaboration
Work closely with Finance, FP&A;, Supply Chain, Corporate Controllers, and business stakeholders.
Gather requirements and translate business planning rules into technical solutions.
Lead or participate in enterprise analytics and planning projects.
Manage timelines, resources, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
Testing & Documentation
Perform unit testing, parallel calculation testing, integration testing, and data validation.
Coordinate UAT with business teams.
Prepare functional and technical design documents.
Maintain data lineage, planning logic, process documentation, and end-user training materials.
Knowledge Sharing
Mentor junior consultants and team members.
Promote SAP best practices and standardization.
Share technical knowledge and troubleshooting approaches across the team.
Stay current with SAP SAC Planning roadmap, analytics capabilities, and performance management trends.

Understanding of currency translation and intercompany processes.
Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry experience is highly preferred.
Knowledge of GxP/GMP and validated reporting environments is an advantage.
Education & Experience
10+ years of overall IT experience with significant experience in SAP BI, Analytics, and Planning platforms.
Strong hands-on experience implementing enterprise-level SAP SAC Planning & Analytics solutions.
Strong understanding of SAP ERP financial processes and data structures.
Experience working with SAP S/4HANA / SAP ECC financial data.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience handling complex business problems and enterprise planning architectures.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on SAP SAC Planning expert with strong Finance/FP&A; knowledge and experience delivering enterprise-scale planning solutions. Candidates with Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry experience and exposure to regulated/validated environments will be highly preferred. very very short
