Job Title: Assitant Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement best practices for sprue design based on directional solidification principles to maximize casting yield and quality.
- Collaborate with the CAD/design team during product development to ensure casting-friendly designs by incorporating sound metallurgical and casting principles at the design stage.
- Review current product designs and recommend modifications to improve castability and reduce production defects.
- Establish technical standards and guidelines for upstream casting processes.
- Optimize investment casting processes for gold, platinum, and other precious metal alloys.
- Improve process capability through scientific analysis of mold design, gating systems, solidification behavior, and process parameters.
- Support production teams in achieving consistent casting quality and improved productivity.
- Lead investigations into casting defects such as shrinkage porosity, gas porosity, misruns, cold shuts,



inclusions, hot tears, and surface defects.
- Develop defect libraries and troubleshooting guides for manufacturing teams.
- Provide technical support to production teams for day-to-day metallurgical and casting challenges.
- Support process validation, new product introductions, and scale-up activities.
- Train CAD engineers, production supervisors, casting operators and quality personnel on casting metallurgy and best practices.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical manuals, and training materials.

Work Experience

In terms of technical skills and competencies, the Senior Production Engineer should have expertise in casting & foundry processes, understanding of root causes of defects in casting processes, and proficiency in manufacturing excellence tools such as 5S, TPM, DWM, TQM, and QC tools.
