Role Overview

The Intake Processor is responsible for the receipt, registration, and initial processing of adverse event reports within the pharmacovigilance case management system. This is a high-volume operational role focused on accurate case intake, book-in, and administrative support within a consumer healthcare pharmacovigilance program.
- Qualifications and Experience
- 2 to 4 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety operations.
- Degree in Pharmacy, Pharm D, BHMS, BDS, or equivalent qualification preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive and register incoming adverse event reports from multiple sources into the safety database.
- Perform case book-in and initial registration of ICSRs accurately and within defined timelines.
- Process source documents, ensuring completeness and correct attachment.
- Carry out data entry in line with defined conventions and SOPs.
- Monitor and manage shared mailboxes, ensuring timely retrieval and acknowledgement.




- Perform duplicate checks to identify potential duplicate cases.
- Should be able to support high-volume processing of predominantly non-serious cases while maintaining quality and turnaround standards.
- . Escalate incomplete, ambiguous, or potentially serious cases to the relevant team lead.

Key Skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume data entry.
- Familiarity with ICSR intake and case management workflows.
- Understanding of pharmacovigilance terminology and adverse event reporting.
- Ability to work within defined timelines and productivity targets.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

System and Domain Exposure
- LSMV or Argus safety database.
- High-volume case intake and administrative processing.
- Consumer healthcare or non-reliable case processing environment (preferred).
