The Fabrication Shift Supervisor oversees and coordinates the daily operations of the fabrication department during a assigned shift. This role is responsible for ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met. The supervisor leads a team of fabricators, welders, and machine operators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to maintain an efficient and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the fabrication team, including welders, fitters, and other skilled workers.
- Ensure all fabrication activities comply with company safety procedures, OSHA (or relevant regulatory body) standards, and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and training sessions for all fabrication personnel to promote awareness of hazards and protected work practices
- Proactively identify potential safety hazards in the fabrication process and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks
- Plan, schedule, and monitor fabrication activities to meet production deadlines.




- Ensure all fabrication work complies with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Inspect materials and components for defects and ensure proper handling and storage.
- Maintain and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures in the fabrication area.
- Coordinate with process engineering, quality control, and maintenance departments to resolve fabrication issues.
- Train, mentor, and develop fabrication staff to improve skills and performance.
- Monitor equipment usage and recommend maintenance or replacement as needed.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and documentation

Qualifications:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
