Job Description - Quality Control (QC) Executive

Department: Quality Control
Industry: Adaptable Packaging Manufacturing
Reporting To: QC Manager / Quality Head
Location: Manufacturing Plant

Key Responsibilities

Raw Material Inspection
- Inspect incoming raw materials such as films, inks, adhesives, solvents, granules, and packaging materials.
- Verify supplier quality documents and test reports.
- Approve or reject materials based on quality parameters.

In-Process Quality Control
- Monitor quality during Printing, Lamination, Slitting, Pouching, and other production processes.
- Conduct routine quality checks as per approved specifications.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs and quality standards.

Finished Goods Inspection
- Inspect finished products for dimensions, sealing strength, bond strength, print quality, appearance, and other customer requirements.
- Approve finished goods for dispatch.
- Maintain inspection and testing records.

Testing & Analysis
- Perform laboratory tests including:
- GSM
- COF (Coefficient of Friction)
- Bond Strength
- Seal Strength




- Thickness Measurement
- Dart Impact Test
- Ink Adhesion Test
- Visual and Functional Testing
- Prepare and maintain test reports.

Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain quality records, reports, and inspection logs.
- Assist in internal audits and customer audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, BRC, HACCP, GMP, and company quality systems (as applicable).

Non-Conformance Management
- Identify quality defects and deviations.
- Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
- Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and Stores departments for quality improvements.

Continuous Improvement
- Analyze quality trends and rejection data.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce waste and customer complaints.
- Participate in quality improvement projects.

Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Sc./B.Tech in Polymer Technology, Packaging Technology, Chemistry, Quality Management, or r
