Software Engineer, Chennai

The Fullstack Engineerwithin the NIQ Activate R&D; organization is a senior individual contributor role responsible for designing, developing, and scaling backend services that power innovative product solutions for our growing customer base. Working in a team-oriented and innovation-driven environment, you will leverage modern cloud-native technologies, microservices architectures, and AI-assisted development tools to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance solutions while influencing technical direction, architecture, and engineering best practices.

What will you be doing?
- Responsible for implementing micro-services from design to production.
- Take ownership of development, maintenance, testing strategy, design discussions, and operations of the team, with containerized API services
- Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment.
- Responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of new product features / components
- Work with a small, cross-functional team on products and features to drive growth.




- Learning new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies to grow
- Research and suggest new technologies for boosting the product.
- Have an impact on product development by making important technical decisions, influencing the system architecture, development practices and more.

Qualifications
- Must have: B.Sc. in Computer Sciences or similar
- At least 4+ years of experience in Fullstack role
- Profound knowledge in OOP and design patterns
- Experience and knowledge of server-side technologies such as Java, Spring, React
- Experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes and Cloud environments
- Expertise in testing methodologies (Unit-testing, TDD, mocking)
- Fluent with Relational databases (SQL)
- Valuable problem-solving and analysis abilities
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills
