Business Development Manager

About the Role

We're looking for a highly energetic, locally connected Business Development Manager to build the sales pipeline and acquire new catering contracts in and around Sambhajinagar. Your first priority will be making the current Shendra MIDC facility commercially successful — owning the full sales cycle from market mapping and prospecting through site visits, proposals, negotiation, and contract closure. This is a highly field-oriented role covering industrial, healthcare, and educational accounts.

What You'll Do
- Map every major industrial cluster in the territory — Shendra, Chikalthana, Waluj, Chitegaon, and Bidkin/DMIC — and build a database of target companies
- Identify factory canteens, employee/shift meals, staff cafeterias, and other catering opportunities within manufacturing, pharma, FMCG, and logistics companies
- Build a secondary pipeline in hospitals and healthcare institutions (patient meals, staff dining,



cafeteria management) and educational institutions (student mess, hostel catering, campus food courts)
- Generate new business through field visits, cold calling, references, HR/admin networks, consultants, industry associations, tenders, and RFPs
- Build relationships with Plant Heads, HR/Admin Heads, Purchase Heads, and Facility Managers, identifying the true decision-maker in each account
- Track industrial, hospital, and institutional tenders; study eligibility, meal volumes, and manpower requirements; coordinate proposal preparation and submission
- Proactively identify opportunities before they go to tender — new factories, expansions, expiring contracts, and vendor dissatisfaction — ideally 6-12 months ahead of renewal
- Prepare commercially viable proposals with finance and operations, covering meal volume, food and labour cost, and expected margins
- Support the Shendra facility's laun
