Team Lead - Capital Accounting:

Role Summary:
The Team Lead - Capital Accounting is responsible for leading end-to-end fixed asset and project accounting activities, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with accounting policies and standards. The role drives operational excellence through process improvements, automation initiatives, solid internal controls, and effective stakeholder engagement while leading a team of accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
Asset & Project Accounting:
- Manage fixed asset accounting lifecycle, including capitalization, transfers, depreciation, impairments, disposals, and retirements.
- Oversee project accounting activities and ensure timely transition of projects into fixed assets.
- Ensure compliance with capitalization policies and accounting standards.

Reporting & Reconciliations:
- Deliver accurate and timely CapEx, depreciation, and fixed asset reporting.




- Perform and review reconciliations between fixed asset sub-ledgers and the General Ledger.
- Investigate and resolve accounting variances and reporting issues.

Compliance & Controls:
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, SOX controls, and audit requirements.
- Support internal and external audits and drive remediation of control gaps.
- Maintain robust governance and risk management practices.

Process Improvement & Automation:
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardize processes, and enhance controls.
- Lead automation initiatives and support digital transformation within asset accounting processes.
- Drive continuous improvement and best practice adoption across the function.

People Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
