Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Define and deploy supplier quality strategy for sheet metal parts (stampings, weldments, assemblies, brackets); establish quality standards, inspection criteria, and risk-based supplier plans.
- Drive supplier performance management through KPIs such as PPM, warranty, defect trends, and production loss; lead resolution of critical issues, customer complaints, and ensure structured problem-solving with statistical tools.
- Conduct supplier audits (process, system, product, and new supplier evaluation) and ensure timely closure of findings with effective root cause validation.
- Lead supplier development and APQP, ensuring timely PPAP approvals (FTR/ETR), capability building in stamping, welding, and surface treatment processes, and control of tooling, process, and material changes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sourcing, Design, Manufacturing (all plants), and suppliers to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with IMS, TMW, and customer requirements, and support customer audits and visits.
- Drive digitalization and reporting,



including dashboards, SCAR tracking, development tracking, and MIS reviews.
- Lead and develop the supplier quality team, building capability, driving performance, and fostering a strong quality culture across the supplier base.

Education Qualification
- BE (Mechanical/Automobile/Production)

General Experience
- 18-20 Years in Supplier Quality Improvement (Sheetmetal domain)

Critical Experience
- 1. Solid technical knowledge - Sheet metal Processes, Special Processes - Welding, Priming, Painting, etc.
2. Knowledge of statistical tools & techniques / Statistical approach
3. Sound knowledge of metallurgy
4. Hands on experience in APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC & FMEA

5. Leadership, Analytical thinking, Strong Influencing Skills, Stake Holder Management, Result Orientatio
