What You Will Do:
- Provides day-to-day leadership of Engineering staff assigned. Assigns projects to Engineers and monitors the progress of all assigned projects. Ensures the delivery of high quality service and maintenance of good customer relations.
- Perform detailed engineering review of plans independently, as assigned, for compliance with applicable Rules, Regulations, and contract commitments.
- Review of the Piping diagrams, Piping Hydraulic calculations, Mechanical components and onboard manuals based on the ABS Rules, Statutory Regulations like SOLAS, IMO MODU Code, MARPOL, etc.
- Perform work that involves conventional engineering practices but may include moderately complex problems such as resolving conflicting design requirements, material standards, or coordinating activities among other disciplines.
- Draft technically accurate and timely reports and responses to client letters and other forms of communication for review by an experienced engineer or engineering manager.
- Prepare accurate and timely weekly reports and billing on all work performed.




- Communicate the status of the current workload to all appropriate team members to ensure the client's needs will be met.
- Propose technical advice to field operations and other technical offices.
- Propose recent approaches to problems encountered and recommend changes in methods, procedures, or designs.
- Monitors the technical quality, content, consistency, continuity and timeliness of action of all assigned projects.
- Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of technical responsibility.
- Performs engineering reviews and analyses when necessary. Reviews other engineers' work and provides appropriate guidance and training when necessary.- Prepare written response to clients in accordance with established procedures.
