- MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Procurement, or Materials Management is preferred.
- Certification in Supply Chain or Procurement (CPSM, CIPS, etc.) will be an added advantage.
Job Summary
The Purchase Manager is responsible for leading the procurement function for the diagnostic business, ensuring the timely sourcing and uninterrupted availability of laboratory reagents, diagnostic kits, consumables, equipment, and operational supplies across laboratories and collection centres. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, vendor management, inventory optimization, cost control, compliance, and effective procurement operations to support business continuity and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities1.
Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Manage end-to-end procurement of laboratory reagents, diagnostic kits, consumables, instruments, medical equipment, and general operational supplies.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives and operational requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement and uninterrupted supply of materials across all laboratory locations.
- Identify alternate sourcing options to reduce dependency on single vendors and strengthen supply chain resilience.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and product availability to ensure competitive purchasing.
2. Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.
- Evaluate vendors based on quality, pricing, delivery performance, service standards, and regulatory compliance.
