Role Overview
We’re seeking a Backend Developer with robust expertise in
Java
and
Spring Boot
to design and build scalable, API-driven backend systems. The role involves developing REST APIs (Swagger/OpenAPI), containerizing with Docker, deploying on
Kubernetes (GKE)
, and integrating with
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
services. You’ll collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver cloud-native applications supporting AI/ML and enterprise data platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java & Spring Boot
- Build/document REST APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI
- Containerize apps with Docker & deploy/manage workloads on Kubernetes (GKE)
- Integrate with GCP services (Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage)
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated workflows
- Ensure application security (OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security)
- Optimize backend performance, logging,



monitoring & troubleshoot production issues

Must-Have Skills
- 8 years backend development (
Java, Spring Boot)
- Strong Spring ecosystem knowledge (Boot, MVC, Security, JPA/Hibernate)
- REST API
development & Swagger documentation
- Hands-on
Kubernetes (pods, deployments, services, ingress)
- GCP services experience (GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, IAM)
- SQL
/database expertise (Postgres/MySQL)
- Docker
& containerized deployments
- CI/CD
pipelines & Git workflows
- Microservices
& distributed systems understanding

Preferred Skills
- API-first platform experience / frontend integration (React, Angular)
- Event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub, Kafka)
- Troubleshooting networking, SSL/TLS, IAM in Kubernetes/GCP
- Exposure to AI/ML workloads or data pipelines

Education
: Bachelor's in computer science/engineering (or equivalent experience)
