General Manager – Commercial Transport

Key Responsibilities

1. Fleet Performance & Utilization
- Monitor fleet performance, utilization, and vehicle productivity.
- Reduce vehicle downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper vehicle allocation and scheduling.

2. Business Targets & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Develop strategies to increase business and profitability.
- Monitor business performance and take corrective actions.

3. Driver Management & Productivity
- Manage driver performance, attendance, productivity, and discipline.
- Ensure protected driving practices and compliance with company policies.
- Conduct regular driver reviews and training.

4. Cost Control & Vehicle Maintenance
- Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and operating expenses.
- Ensure timely preventive maintenance and reduce breakdowns.
- Implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability.

5. Customer & Compliance Management
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and transport partners.




- Handle customer complaints and operational issues.
- Ensure RTO, permit, fitness, insurance, PUC, and other statutory compliance.

6. Team Leadership & Business Development
- Lead transport supervisors, drivers, technicians, and support teams.
- Monitor KPIs, MIS reports, and overall team performance.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop key client relationships.

Required Criteria:
- Education: Any Graduate / Post Graduate
- Preferred Qualification: MBA in Operations / Logistics / Business Management
- Experience: 10–12 years of relevant experience in Commercial Transport / Fleet Management
- Preferred Industry: Transport, Logistics, Fleet Operations, Automobile or Commercial Vehicle sector
- Skills: Fleet Management, Driver Management, Cost Control, Business Development, Team Leadership and Statutory Compliance
